A Church Alive in the Power of the Holy Spirit

Serving Christ together

At Philadelphia International Church, involvement is not about filling roles but responding to God’s call. We believe every believer is called to participate in the work of the Gospel according to the grace and conviction God has placed within them.

Our ministries flow out of prayer, obedience to Scripture, and a burden for souls, both within the Church and beyond its walls.

Apologetics Ministry

Open Apologetics Gospel Cart

Every first and third Saturday of the month, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, we engage in open apologetics ministry through our Apologetics Gospel Cart.

We stand in public places such as the Christchurch City Centre and New Brighton beachfront, creating space for honest conversations about faith. We engage questions such as:

  • Who is Jesus Christ?
  • Does God truly exist?
  • Why is there suffering if God is good?

This ministry is driven by a burden to reach those shaped by intellectualism, skepticism, and secular reasoning, meeting them with truth, clarity, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our passion is to see souls saved by bringing the light of Christ into public spaces with wisdom, humility, and boldness.

Prison Ministry

Every second Sunday of the month, we conduct Bible study and church services within the prison.

This ministry is focused on bringing the hope of the Gospel, discipleship, and spiritual restoration to those incarcerated. Due to the nature of prison ministry, participation is not open to the general public.

Those who sense a call toward this ministry must undergo a specific process of training and approval. If you would like to learn more, please contact Pastor Michael for guidance.

Nehemiah Prayer Walk

Once every month, we gather as a church to walk through a selected suburb, praying, sharing the Word of God, and interceding for the community.

Inspired by the example of Nehemiah, these prayer walks are an act of obedience and spiritual stewardship over the land, seeking God’s mercy, healing, and restoration for families, neighbourhoods, and the city.

If you would like to participate or learn more about upcoming prayer walks, please get in touch with Pastor Michael.
